This year’s Brigada Eskwela’20 is different from other Brigada that we had in the past years because of the pandemic that happened not only in our country but all over the world. The world stopped, stores closed, people lost their jobs, schools without students and many more. However, the pandemic could not hinder us to continue to help
This year’s theme “ Pagpapanatili ng Bayanihan tungo sa kalidad na Edukasyon para sa kabataan,” touched our hearts and encouraged us to continue and share our time, treasure and talent for our children. Indeed, we faced another chapter in the education system. The school is not allowed to have face to face, but we can continue through online classes. All transactions as well as teaching is through online. However, not all the students have the capacity to go online. With this kind of challenge that not only our school is facing, we coordinated with the Local Government, Private Companies and even private individuals to help us provide the needs of the school, teachers and most especially the students. Instead of repairs for the school we asked for medical supplies like alcohol, thermometer, soap, sanitizer etc., instead of books we asked for papers to be used for the printing of modules. We also requested people to donate their old phones or tablets to be given to the students in need.
To all the individuals who expressed their love and generosity, we thank you all, for it has given inspiration to all Teaching and Non-teaching personnel of Baclaran Elementary School Unit-I to serve for the good of all, to help even if we are not asked to, to make ourselves available in times of need, increase our patience and perseverance and doing all our best in the service of our Filipino children. We do this for the love of God, people and country.
