The project “Finding STAR”
Student – At-Risk) is a school initiated Dropout Reduction Intervention Program (DORP) from the Technical Assistance for Learners-At-Risk of Dropping Out (TALA) of SDO Paranaque City.
The Project “Finding STAR (Student -At-Risk) is created and organized to reduce the number of learners at risk of dropping out.
OBJECTIVES
Terminal Objective:
Reduce the number of learners at risk of dropping out or achieve a 0% dropout rate.
Enabling Objectives:
1. Provide academic assistance by utilizing educational resources to learners as intervention strategy to support their learnings.
- Provide community assistance through collaboration with parents, external stakeholders and Barangay officials.
3. Document the experiences, challenges and best practices of teachers in reducing dropout rate as input for program improvement.

The launching of project finding StAR or Student at Risk starts at exactly 2:00 in the afternoon with an Opening Prayer followed by Makabayang Awit.
First speaker , Agnes A Pelovello , School Principal-I , gave an opening remarks by welcoming all the participants on the event. The principal informed the teachers and stakeholders about the said project of finding star.
Second speaker , Meneilwin R Serdana Ed. D. Public School District Supervisor of district gave a short message and word of encouragement for teachers “ Hanapin ang nawawalang bituin “ “ para sa bata para sa bayan.”
Third speaker , Germee Padua, ICT coordinator presented and discussed the parts and meaning of the logo for Baclaran Elementary School Unit 1 finding STAR.
Fourth speaker, Malvina Mendoza, Master Teacher II tackled about the description, rationale and objective of the project finding star.
Fifth speaker, Arlene O. Rodriguez, Master Teacher I, discussed about the analysis of LAR’s status and the major problem of pupils under LAR’s per grade level for the first quarter followed by the Implementation Plan or the activities from March 10- July 20 , 2022 and the tools /template.
Sixth speaker , Margarita r. Casupang Master Teacher II, tackled about the Team Roles and Responsibilities followed by the recitation of pledge of commitment lead by Mrs. Aileen Hernandez GPTA Officer.
And lastly, the open forum. The querries , the doubts and suggestions are being raised followed by the closing remarks by Margarita R. Casupang.
