SCIENCE

Science Month is celebrated every September pursuant to the Presidential Proclamation no. 28. It is a month-long celebration wherein science enthusiast are enjoined to observe. This year, we celebrated in a different way due to pandemic. However, despite of this situation, the science celebration must go on and continue to raise awareness of the importance and relevance of science to our present and future development of our society and economy. This celebration provides opportunities a unique range of activities that will motivate our learners to engage with science even they just stay at home.

As one of the public elementary schools in the Division of Paranaque, our school Baclaran Elementary School I supported and conducted this celebration.

This year Science Month Celebration focused on exploration and technology with the theme “ Agham, Pananaliksik at Teknolohiya: Kabalikat sa Matatag at Maunlad na Pamayanan”. This year’s theme is to showcase the competence and creativity of the learners in providing solutions to attain sustainable development. And in order to cope with this theme, Baclaran Elementary School Unit I provided various activities in order to challenge learner’s creativity and abilities. Some of the activities are Poster Making Contest, Science Quiz Bee, Infographics Making Contest, and Sci-Tok ( Science Tiktok Version) which are participated by learners from grades 3 to 6. It was a long month celebration wherein every week there is an activity done via online or virtual using Google Meet, Facebook, and Messenger.
